Daycare Clients Congratulations to the daycare clients who won an Uptown Hounds T-shirt in August.  The drawings each week in September and October are for a Bow Wow bag.  All daycare clients are eligible.  All you have to do to is bring your dog to daycare, put your name in the drawing and see if you are the lucky one on Friday!   A drawing starts new every Monday!  The more times you bring your dog, the more chances you have of winning!		Dog of the month Monty Harding Nickname: Montonio Where I came from:  The shelter in Grant County, My foster mom ended up adopting me.  She decided I was too cute and she couldn’t let me go.  Age:  I don’t know because my previous owners didn’t leave any information when the left me in the over night box  Favorite Toy: I have a round pig I love to play with Favorite Food/Treat:  Anything!!! From the Salon We all as dog owners know what time of year it is – the time for thinner summer coats to shed  and thicker winter coats to grow.  The hair forms dust bunnies in our hallways and clumps on our couches, chairs and clothing.  It is a nuisance!  But, there really is a solution!  Our de-shedding procedure is a phenomenal experience.  The dog is bathed and then soaked in a hydrating conditioner that contains a coat-release product.  Then a powerful cool air dryer blows off the water and loose hair.   When dry, a special de-furring tool is used which has a different result than a regular slicker or pin brush.  The end result can stand up to the “lollipop test”!  When repeated every 4-6 weeks, you will have consistent hair control throughout your home. FYI – we also groom cats!

	Dr. Mindy Johnson Dr. Mindy Johnson is coming to Uptown Hounds in October.  Dr. Mindy Johnson earned her degree in Veterinary Medicine in 1998 from the University of Tennessee. She attended the Veterinary Rehabilitation course thru the University of Tennessee, then became a CCRT - Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist , thru the Canine Rehabilitation Institute in Florida. She now practices exclusively in companion animal rehabilitation and hyperbaric medicine. Dr. Johnson lives in Versailles, Ky with her husband and three sons.
