Lexington's Greatest Uptown Hound

We are in search of local dogs and their owners for a competition putting the owner's ability to train their dog to the test! Each week at Uptown Hounds 8,000 square foot state-of-the-art indoor training arena, the dogs, all from different backgrounds and training styles, will be put through various challenges. Throughout competition, the judges will make eliminations until 12 dog/owner teams proceed to the finals beginning in February. Some show dogs, some simply backyard trained, all competing for the title of Lexington's Greatest Uptown Hound.

• Tryouts

  September 21, 2008 – February 1, 2009
  Sundays, 2:00-6:00pm
  
  Tryouts consist of interview questions and basic obedience trials...
  Two hounds will be selected each week to advance in the competition.
  Entries from 12 neighborhood associations along with individual entries will be invited each week.

• Semi-Finals

  February 8, 2008 & February 15, 2009
  2:00-6:00pm
  
  Semi-finals consist of personal interview questions, and further... obedience examination.
  During this phase of competition, 40 semi-finalists will be narrowed to 12 finalists.

• Finals

  February 22, 2009-May 17, 2009
  Every Sunday (excluding Easter), 2:00-6:00pm
  
  On February 22, 2009 the final 12 hounds... will begin competition for fantastic prizes and the title of Lexington’s Greatest Uptown Hound.
  Each week, the hound/owner teams will face various challenges, and the judges’ elimination until the final hound standing will claim the prizes and earn the title of Lexington's Greatest Uptown Hound!
